Carfax is integrating Vehicle History Reports into the CarSoup iPad app, allowing customers to pull out the used vehicle info right from their Apple device.
Shoppers are albe receive free Carfax reports from subscribing dealers, and they are also able to purchase the report directly from the CarSoup app.
"Carfax Reports enhance the CarSoup app by providing consumers with crucial information about the vehicle's history – all from their iPad," said Larry Gamache, communications director at Carfax, in a statement on Friday.
"It's the confidence boost they need to know they're making a smart buying decision," Gamache added.
CarSoup.com had an automatic linked Carfax reports run by dealers since 2010, and added the same feature as well as highlighting Carfax 1-owner cars in their mobile website in January of this year. The new iPad app, available for free on Apple's App Store, is to make car shopping more convenient and help build consumer confidence.
The app features sorting vehicle listing by free Carfax reports and Carfax 1-owner vehicles. It also provides vehicle details, such as milage, service history, number of owners, and other vital information.

CarSoup.com is an online venue for buying, researching, and selling vehicles. The Twi City, Minn.-based company was launched in 1998 and lists more than one million vehicles nationally from more than 7,000 participating dealers.
Carfax is the vehicle history expert for used cars. The Vehicle History Report was created in 1986, integrating over 250 acquisition and inventory companies. Shoppers view Carfax Vehicle History Reports more than 114 milion times a year.
