Porsche indicates that in the not too distant future Porsche SUV will have a coupe in its range of vehicles. This is however still in its initial phase of development and testing and will not be unveiled officially at least until 2018.
Back in 2002, people were reluctant about the launch os the Porsche Cayenne, the first SUV brand of Porsche. Fast forward to today, the Cayenne has been one of the most successful models of Porsche and so they launched the Porsche Macan in 2014 with equal success too. Therefore the new SUV coupe will be the third vehicle of this type and is expected to get as much success as its predecessors.
The Porsche SUV coupe is said to be one of the best kept secrets of Porsche nowadays however it was still seen being driven in camoufllaged on open road in the US. According to witnesses, The said coupe could take some designs of the Porsche Cayenne, especially in the front look. On the other hand, the rear makes it impossible not to remind us of the newly launched Porsche Panamera , mainly by its rear lights while the coupe's side view seems to have a sharp ceiling.
Although the Porsche SUV coupe look similarly to the Panamera, the new SUV will have a free height to the top floor to the saloon. Everything indicates that, in terms of size, it will be between Macan and Cayenne. Judging by the images, the distance between axes is relatively short , so you will have a dynamic character. The compartment seems to be smaller than the Cayenne and could have a 2 x 2 seater.
We must wait to see all the details of this new SUV coupe that even the final name of this model is still unknown. What is known is that soon the premium Sports Activity Coupe is about to get even more crowded and the BMW X6 and Mercedes GLE Coupe will have a Porsche rival that will try to make things difficult for them. Not to mention that in the past 12 months, Jaguar is also already testing its own electric SUV coupe and the Range Rover is preparing for its new coupe as well.
