Although Lamborghini has picked up former head of Ferrari's Formula One team as their CEO, yet they are not yet ready to step in the Formula One course. This announcement comes from the CEO Stefano Domenicali himself.
The 51 - year old Italian expert started his career with working at Ferrari and managed the Mugello circuit, until he was replaced as the team principal in 2014, reported Car Scoops.
Although there were rumors that he might be joining Volkswagen, yet he was ultimately placed as CEO of Lamborghini replacing Stephan Winkelmann, who moved to Audi's performance division.
Notably, Lamborghini is perhaps one of the most famous manufacturing company who are yet to step up into the race course. However, as for the manufacturer stepping into the course, Domenicali mentioned that Lamborghini presently has other priorities.
"We also have a system that is working really well in racing, and credit for that goes to all of the people who have chosen the sports program very well. However, you cannot think of a brand like Lamborghini without motorsport," Domenicali added, according to Auto Week.
Meanwhile, the Bolognese automaker is presently occupied with bringing life to the Urus crossover concept. In addition, they are also preoccupied with increasing the production capacity to prepare for the arrival.
Thus, although Lamborghini lovers will be very happy to see the various highly anticipated models like Urus, Huracan and Aventador for high end clients, yet they might be disappointed with the manufacturers decision to stay out of F1 track.
In other news, Lamborghini has recently confirmed that they will be launching the Roadster version of Centenario supercar at the Quail Golf Club, and also bring it to the Pebble Beach Concours d' Elegance.
Thus, Lamborghini users are in for a treat very soon, although it will be manufactured in limited edition.
