The car enthusiasts are ready for the arrival of 2017 Honda Civic Hatchback. But will the upcoming flagship car exceed the people's expectation?
Honda will unveil the 10th generation of the Hatchback series before its official launch on September 29 at the 2016 Paris auto show, reports Motor Authority. According to the website, the car will arrive in fall 2017 along with other variants, the Honda Civic Sedan and Civic Coupe.
The online outlet added that the 2017 Honda Civic Hatchback will be the first model that will be available in the United States since the release of the 7th Generation more than 10 years ago. Moreover, it might be the basis for the highly-anticipated new model, The Civic Type R.

As for the much-awaited vehicle, the 10th generation hatchback will have different trim variants such as LX, Sport, EX, EX-L, and Sport Touring trims. Potential buyers may have to choose between a front-wheels drive or a 6-speed manual or CVT.
Meanwhile, the newest car model will feature a single engine at launch, but with two different outputs. The engine is the turbocharged 1.5-liter inline-4, similar to the Civic Sedan and Civic Coupe.
The LX, EX, and EX-L trim will deliver 174 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque. Meanwhile, Sport and Sport Touring trim will deliver 180 hp and 162 lb-ft in and will be distinguished by a center-mounted exhaust. It is also expected to have a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-4 based.
For the interior, the 2017 Honda Civic Hatchback will sport a similar design to the Sedan and Coupe. But the additional features are impressive- including an increased capacity of 36.0 inches of rear legroom.
Lastly, the public should expect that that upcoming car model will cater to the tech-savvy. It will have a smartphone integration, fuel-saving electronic power steering, to mention some.
