Paulette Perlman is an artist who redesigns automobiles in a fun and creative way. Her newest art car will be displayed at Panama City Center for the Arts on Oct. 7.
Perlman's craft is widely known among the car and art enthusiasts who like to overhaul the exterior in an artistic way. For her, "it's not the destination, it's the journey." Thus far, her art car is the journey.
WJHG reported that another artist, Paris Janos metPerlman because of their same interest. The latter started his car art venture in January.
Perlman showed her latest project. "Now, you can see, it's sort of progressed," she said. "This is my third art car that I've painted." However, her other projects are not yet completed as well.
The local painter explained that she is planning to accentuate the vehicle with bread tabs, digital frames, and plastic bottle caps. She has at least 2 more months to finish the artwork.
"It's a mobile art gallery. We bring art to you. This side is for working women artists. All the women that are represented on this side were women that made their living as artists. The other side is everything is art."
The public must be excited to meet Paulette Perlman and see her art exhibition. But aside from that, more of her masterpieces will also be shown on Autovision Car Art this Saturday and Sunday.
According to Flagpole, the art car rally will be at the Farmington Depot Gallery in Northeast Georgia. Paulette Perlman's "Florida Art" car, all the way from Panama City, is included.
Other artists that will showcase their talents are Tex Crawford's "Mysteries of the Deep," from Hull; Elizabeth and Chuck Hanes' "Chicken Coup deVille," from Madison; Mariah Hope's "Quilt Car," from Cornelia.
Fans of Paulette Perlman might be hoping to witness her whole collection soon. Check out her official Facebook account.
