Mercedes-AMG GT R, To Be The New Drift
The latest franchise of the Transformers is going to hit the big screen in June of 2017. Director Michael Bay has always been showing exotic supercars on screen and the favorite of all Autobots was Bumblebee. On a recent Tweet, Bay revealed the new look for Autobot Drift in the Transformers: The Last Knight movie. Drift will transform into a black and red Mercedes-AMG GT R which is new, since Drift was a blue Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse.
The Mercedes-AMG GT R is a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 which puts out 577 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque. The new turbocharges, reshaped exhaust ports, upgraded software, and a different compression ratio give out the extra dose of power compared to the lesser GT models. The increase in max boost to 19.6 psi from 17.4 will give Drift a powerful look in the movie. GT R has a massive wing, wide track and enormous grille which add to the grandeur of Drift in the Transformers movie.
The new Bumblebee on the other hand, will transform into a highly modified 2016 Ford Mustang from the latest Chevrolet Camaro.
The cinematic battle between the Autobots, Decepticons and mankind continue in this latest franchise from Paramount Pictures.
This is the fifth installment of the movie Transformers directed by Michael Bay, with new lead stars. Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox are no longer in the movie. Replacing the previous stars are Mark Whalberg, Nicola Peltz and Jack Reynor. Though stars have been replaced, it will be the same action packed film with a whole lot of transforming to happen.
The film has greatly transformed itself from one franchise to another other. This will be the final Transformers film which will be directed by Michael Bay. Thus, the fifth franchise of the film is a must see.
