A victorious day for Tesla Motors as it surpasses the 300-mile barrier that has blocked its former car segments. The achievement of Tesla sparked a new era of competition that threatens Nissan Leaf's existence and market presence.
Inside Car News has relayed that while other car makers have struggled in meeting the 200 mile challenge, Tesla is perfecting its way around the hurdles that blocks the segment from attaining the 300 mile mark up. The report also disclosed that Tesla Motors Model S has successfully gained another milestone by surpassing the 300-mile threshold in one of its EPA testing.
According to the same post, given the success that Tesla's Model S has achieved, there are still many things to overcome to ensure that the car is safety and reliable once it hits the road. However, the raw test data for the Model S' highway range was at 303.2 miles, indicating that the 300-mile barrier is now history. In addition, Tesla is also working with other elements that would ensure stability and durability for its entire EV segment.
Digital Trends also revealed that the face-lifted 2016 Model S 90D is the first of its kind to break the record and gain the fame and gears for being the car that has broke the mile record. In terms of other upgrades and innovations, the revamped Model S sedan forecast to incorporate the 48A system, not to mention the affirmative decision of Tesla to install "Destination Chargers" for its Euro recharging regions.
