Nissan is offering the N-Attack Pack, available for purchase only for GT-R Nismo owners who have done less than 10,000 miles on their car.
According to Top Gear, ex FIA GT1 champion Michael Krumm went for a lap around the Nurburgring on September 30th 2013 and returned exactly seven minutes, eight seconds and 679 milliseconds later. This is an impressive lap record for the fastest four-seater volume production car in the world.
Naturally, the car used by Krumm wasn't a standard Nismo GT-R, but an improved variant with added go-faster parts from Nissan's dedicated motorsports division, Nismo. The same package is now been bundled by Nissan Motors up into the N-Attack Pack.
The N-Attack Pack bundle would transform a Nismo in the most hardcore GT-R Nissan at the sharp end of the GT-R spectrum. There are two variants of the N-Attack Pack, to fit either the Kit A, or Kit B spec configurations, according to the same publication.
Only a handful of specially trained Nissan engineers can fit the N-Attack Pack on a Nismo. They could fly anywhere in the world to answer orders of upgrading a Nissan GT-R and would spend between two and four weeks fitting the parts to the vehicle.
According to Motoring Box, the N-Attack Pack comes with a new ECU and traction control system. The bundle won't ramp up the power levels massively over a standard Nismo, but the reconfigured traction control system will help drivers get all that power down to the road and the new map for the boost pressure will improve responsiveness.
The N-Attack's bundle comes with a new carbon fiber intercooler piping that is not only lighter but it also looks great. The new rear wing featured by the N-Attack Pack is taller and wider than the standard Nismo GT-R's. The wing is tall enough to catch the airflow coming off the car's roof.
A brand new pair of carbon fiber front fenders is included in the N-Attack package. Before they fitted up to a Nismo GT-R they are sent off to color match the car's color.
The N-Attack package also includes a new rubber chin spoiler, front and rear limited-slip differentials, a brand new Ohlins suspension setup, anti-roll bars, and titanium exhaust and carbon bucket seats. The N-Attack Pack Kit B features a carbon rear bulkhead that replaces the back seats.
