It appears Maruti-Suzuki Motors has found a new destination to explore from this year. The company is racing ahead of its competitors to make its existence prominent in the country of Algeria.
The number of sales and exports showed the quality of the Maruti-Suzuki and its commitment to serve its customers. As the leading car producer in India, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh, Maruti-Suzuki has exported 17,247 in 2010-11 and became the highest exporter in the nation of Algeria. The Indian car makers, in joint cooperation with a Japanese automaker, said in an official statement that the company is working on a same strategy on which it worked for Indian markets.
While speaking to the media, Mayank Pareek, the Marketing Head for Maruti-Suzuki, said that the company is working on a policy of exploring new fields and areas where no one has ever tread their path before.
"It is the same basic marketing strategy that we are all working on," Pareek said. "And we have been taught in management schools of a story of two marketing guys sent to market shoes in a remote village. When both of them returned to their respective office and said that one didn't find anyone who's interested and the other said that there's more potential to explore as no one wears the shoe in the village. So, we are working on the same strategy in Algeria where there's no introduction of motorization is always an added asset for the Maruti-Suzuki Motors."
