Ford released an American ad for its fully electric Focus four years after its U.S. debut.
The 16-second commercial is dynamic. In the first six seconds a red Focus electric whips into view against a clear blue sky backdrop, possibly Bonneville Salt Flats, noted Green Car Reports. To achieve the cool full stop a professional driver is on a closed course and the ABS was disabled, according to the ad's small print.
In the ad the driver expertly parks in front of a futuristic charging station. An actor gets out of the car and charges the car over five quick frames. Then a woman's voice narrates: "Charged-up, by design," as the driver walks off into the blue horizon.
The Ford website states that the new Focus was restyled with a sculpted exterior and more cabin space. The electric car has new technology. The latest innovation is the Voice Control and 8" Touchscreen you use to operate the navigation, entertainment and climate control systems, just with your voice.
Information about when the commercial will air on TV was not available, but consumers can watch it online.
