Keeping the audience and car makers at dismay, the Italian super car maker Lamborghini introduced its concept version of Urus SUV at the Beijing International Auto Show.

If people have thought Lamborghini would build another four-door world-class sedan, then the launch came as a surprise as the automaker presented a SUV instead.

“Sometime or the other, Lamborghini would love to play with the car lover’s mind," said Stephen Winkleman, Lamborghini CEO, in an telephonic interview with CNN Money.

"When everyone thought that it will again come up with another some four door sedan, then we thought why not surprise everyone with something new concept in SUV. Since, the Auto Show is focussed more on the concept versions, Lamborghini introduces an SUV of high-calibre performance and a concept which has the looks of a bull,” Winkleman said.

The introduction of the Urus concept proved a point that Lamborghini is determined on its commitment to introduce newest revolutionary designs in SUV version.

The futuristic looks with cutting-edge interior, along with the light weight and low CO2 emission, has been praised by attendants of the auto show in Beijing.

“SUVs stand for freedom and completeness. And understanding this as the objective, Lamborghini comes up with Urus which can be driven on the daily basis. It’s concept which is also a reality too. Urus gives you the complete package an SUV should have. There’s a huge potential for sports cars around the world. If you go a few years back, there wasn’t much of the demand for sports cars and traditional versions were on much demand. But now, there’s more necessity for SUVs and Lamborghini understands this wisely and here you are standing a chance to drive Urus,” said Winkleman.
