Hollywood legend and Star Trek hero William Shatner has teamed up with American Wrench for a unique journey across America.
The 84-year-old will ride across the U.S. in 8 days while cruising on a first-of-its-kind Rivet motorcycle.
"The ride will leave from Chicago on June 23 and last for eight days before pulling in to Los Angeles on June 30," said Kevin Chiaramonte, PFA Media publicist, to AutoWorldNews. "The ride will feature members of The American Legion Riders and will benefit the American Legion making stops along the historic Route 66 along the way."
Shatner is set to make stops in St. Louis, Oklahoma City, and Las Vegas before winding up in Los Angeles on June 30.
Here's what Shatner's official summer ride looks like:
"I am taking another step into the unknown!" said Shatner in a press statement. "A phenomenal bike made by American Wrench and a 2,400 mile journey, where the road holds the big mystery."
Shatner himself helped design the Rivet bike with American Wrench owner/designer Kevin Sirotek to create "the most thrilling motor experience possible," according to a Rivet release.
Earlier this year we confirmed that the bike will reach a limited edition production run through American Wrench, meaning you might be able to purchase your own Rivet soon.
Specs are limited at this time though we do know it features 3 wheels, an exposed cockpit and an intercooled V8 engine producing more than 500 horses.
