We reported earlier this year that NBA star LeBron James had designed a custom ride with Kia and now that slick sedan is going up for auction.
James and Kia Motors are auctioning off a customized K900 designed by the former MVP himself with all proceeds set to go to the "LeBron James Family Foundation," according to Kia.
"We are proud that LeBron chose to drive a Kia, and to provide fans the opportunity to bid on the K900 and have the proceeds go to the LeBron James Family Foundation," said Tim Chaney, vice president of marketing communications at Kia, in a statement.
The K900 has been driven by James, the "Luxury Ambassador" for Kia Motors, at least once and was displayed inside the legendary Madison Square Garden during the 2015 NBA All-Star Game in New York City.
"I'm excited to share this custom car with the winning bidder and even more proud that all of the proceeds are going to help my Foundation continue its amazing work," said LeBron James, according to Kia. "All of the proceeds raised will help us keep kids in school and give them an education that is extremely important for their futures."
The Pearl Red Metallic ride also made appearances at recent auto shows in Cleveland and the 2015 New York Auto Show earlier this month.
Some customizations you should know about before placing your bid includes 22-inch Monoblock alloy wheels, tinted windows, "LBJ" icons on each headrest and a "King James Limited Edition #01" plaque on the dash.
Fans can bid on the King James Edition K900 now at Charitybuzz.com through May 7 at 3 p.m.
