A. Kahn Design has unveiled the first model in its Flying Huntsman lineup: the 105 Longnose.
Based on the Land Rover Defender platform, the Flying Huntsman family marks A. Kahn Design's foray into building fully bespoke vehicles, according to Motor Authority.
Some of the British coach maker's car offerings, including the Flying Huntsman lineup, will be the vision of CEO and chief designer Afzal Kahn.
What is it?
Coming from Kahn's design pen, the 105 Longnose is equipped with a 6.2-liter LS3 V-8 engine that comes courtesy of General Motors and is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. Motor Authority puts it between 400 and 450 horsepower.
"With the 105 Longnose, I set out to create something fashionable, iconic and revolutionary which carries on the spirit of the Defender," Afzal Kahn said in a statement.
What's new?
The 105 Longnose, which is expected at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show early next month, lives out its name with an elongated nose featuring roughly an extra 16 inches of bodywork.
Since it's first in a projected family of new models, the Longnose should influence the rest of the Flying Huntsman lineup with its styling.
"The redesigned silhouette, coupled with Afzal Kahn's renowned styling, has produced a one of a kind vehicle which is as iconic as the original, but makes a more definite and lasting statement," the automaker said in a press release.
Most fascinating feature?
The Longnose has optional trims that correspond to its "aggressive lines" and "military style detailing"--B4 and B6 armored variants for those who need some extra protection.
Can I buy it?
If you can afford it. Built entirely in the United Kingdom, the 105 Longnose will be priced in the range of £150,000, or around $232,000. A. Kahn Design is expected to announce more details including an exact listing price at the upcoming show.
