Sometimes even car washes can be dangerous.
A 94-year-old man blasted through a California car wash at 40 mph on Friday before finally crashing into a wall, according to ABC News 10.
After paying for a cleaning at the Sacramento site, the elderly driver took off and couldn't get his foot off the gas. He eventually slammed into a wall on the other side of the car wash.
"That's a whole new level of Quick Quack," said Mitch Shiveley, Site Manager at Quick Quack Car Wash, according to CNN.
All vehicles that go through the car wash have to be in neutral before being pushed through on a conveyor belt. The driver instead went soaring straight through the car wash before coming to a stop in the vacuum area.
Though no one was hurt, someone had pulled out of the parking lot seconds before impact.
"Another lady who was in the back, vacuuming her car, actually backed her car out and pulled away about five seconds before impact," Shiverly said.
The man caused between $60,000 to $100,000 worth of damages, forcing the car wash to close for the weekend. Most of the issues have since been fixed, though Shiverly is just happy everyone is alright.
"Stuff can be fixed. There is insurance and things for stuff like that, people are most the important thing," Shiverly said.
The incident took place on Jan. 9, and a video of the high speed accident has gone viral.
So far the video has generated more than 259,625 hits in under a week on YouTube. One female employee can be seen in the video smiling one second and then jumping out of the way for her life to avoid being hit.
