Acura ILX and RDX Will Debut at 2012 Chicago Auto Show

Acura will present their new Acura ILX and RDX at the 2012 Chicago Auto Show on February 8, according to their press release today.

The 2013 Acura ILX will come in three powertrains options - A 2.0-liter with Sequential Sportshift automatic transmission, a 2.4-liter with 6-speed manual transmission, and 1.5-liter, electric hybrid motor with automatic transmission. The luxury compact sedan will feature high-quality technology including Keyless Access System, Pandora® internet radio interface, SMS text message, and Bluetooth® HandsFreeLink®.

Acura’s luxury crossover 2013 RDX will have a “perfect balance of luxury and utility”, according to the company. The RDX will have 273-hp, 3.5-liter, V-6 engine, which is producing 33 more horsepower compared to 2012 model’s 240-hp. Even with the higher horsepower, the 2013 model is to give better fuel efficiency. The estimated fuel mileage for the new model is at 20 city and 28 highway, according to Acura’s website. The current 2012 model has 24 mpg highway. The RDX will also come with a bag of high-tech features including Multi-view rear camera, Pandora® internet radio interface, SMS text message, Acura/ELS Surround® Premium 10-speaker Sound System with HDD media storage, Voice Recognition for audio, climate and navigation controls, and Bluetooth® HandsFreeLink®.

Both models will be on display in the Acura booth during the Auto Show, which will be held at McCormick Place in Chicago.
