If you have been thinking about buying a Bugatti Veyron, it might be a good time to make your decision.
A few weeks ago, Bugatti confirmed that nearly all of its 450 Bugatti Veyrons had been sold, with just 15 remaining available for purchase. Now only eight Veyrons remain available for sale, according to Autoblog.com.
Originally the automaker was going to only make 300 of the 1,000-plus horsepower Veyrons when it was released back in 2005. That number increased to 450 units in 2008 with the introduction of roadster variants like the Grand Sport option in 2008.
The 300 coupe options had completely sold out by September 2011, and now just the Grand Sport and Vitesse roadster options remain available to purchase.
Since the automaker has almost completely sold out of all the Veyron variants, it wouldn't be a shock if Bugatti introduces a special edition series to sell off the remaining Veyrons.
The current Veyrons offer 1,200 horsepower and a top speed of 255 mph for approximately $2.2 million.
It will likely take another two or three months for the final eight Bugattis to be purchased, though we wouldn't be surprised if they go quicker than that.
Multiple media outlets have released reports regarding the Veyron's successor, which could be called Chiron. The French automaker hasn't officially said what will follow the Veyron yet.
Whatever Bugatti decides to call the next car, there is a good chance that it will most likely be a hybrid model, to match the current trend, but with a 1500 hp output.
Rumors claim the Chiron will have a top speed of over 463 km/h and will be capable of sprinting from 0 to 100 km/h in under 2.5 seconds, according to Autoblog.com.
Bugatti CEO Wolfgang Durheimer recently confirmed that the company is testing prototypes for a new model called the Chiron that will supposedly have 1,500 horsepower.
