When it comes to Ferraris, it doesn't get much more exclusive than the Sergio.
Just six of the Ferrari Sergio vehicles will be made, each configured by its owner during sessions at the Tailor Made atelier in Maranello where clients get the opportunity to personalize their vehicles to match their own tastes.
The first Ferrari Sergio reached the United Arab Emirates today, as it is being delivered to its new owner, the SBH Royal Auto Gallery in the UAE, at Abu Dhabi's Yas Marina Circuit, where the Finali Mondiali Ferrari are being staged. It is also home to the Ferrari World theme park.
The limited edition roadster was designed by Pininfarina to celebrate the core values and spirt of the legendary Cambiano company in the 60th anniversary year of its partnership with the Prancing Horse.
Just six of the roadsters will be manufactured by the automaker. The Sergio name was decided on to pay homage to the great Sergio Pininfarina, who sealed the collaboration with Ferrari.
Ferrari said that customers can expect a truly radical car, and every element was designed to focus specifically on performance.
Its clear engineers designed the Ferrari Sergio with the 458 Spider in mind, as the new vehicle retains the 458 Spider's technological content along with the functional aspects of its cockpit.
The cockpit is functional and pared-back with the engine compartment actually hugging the backs of the seats. The vehicle delivered to Abu Dhabi features a three-layer red exterior paintwork and sporty cockpit with black leather upholstery, Alcantara seat inserts and red stitching.
The vehicle is powered by the 605 hp version of the automaker's 4497 cc V8 which has won the International Engine of the Year award on three consecutive occasions. This power unit allows the Sergio to sprint from 0 to 60 in just three seconds, compared to 3.4 seconds for the standard Spider.
