Good news for the typo-prone: Instagram has rolled out editable captions in its new update, following in Facebook's footsteps.
Instagram also revamped the Explore page to make it easier to find accounts to follow by splitting Explore into two tabs: Photos and People.
The Photos tab holds the familiar mix of photos and videos to scroll through, while the new People tab highlights accounts the user might be interested in following.
Explore is now indicated with a magnifying glass icon instead of a compass.
Apparently a substantial number of users have requested that Instagram captions allow for editing, similar to Facebook's update more than a year ago that let users make changes to their comments and statuses.
"When you share a moment to Instagram, a typo shouldn't get in the way. This has been one of the top requests that we've heard from the community, and we're excited to finally bring it to you today," the photo-sharing social network said in a statement.
The edit option is now included in the menu under each image.
The updated version of Instagram is now available in Apple's App Store for iPhone and Google Play for Android.
Social media users can now only hope that Twitter will follow suit and allow them to fix typos in tweets.
