Chrysler has announced the price for its 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat muscle car, which starts at $60,990, including a $995 destination charge, and a $2,100 gas-guzzler tax.
The vehicle will compete for sales with the 2015 Ford Mustang, Shelby GT500, and the Chevrolet Corvette Z06.
The Challenger features either a new 5-inch or 8.4-inch Uconnect touchscreen and thin film transistor reconfigurable gauge cluster.
Available options include adaptive cruise control, rain-sensitive windshield wipers, and forward collision warning.
Base 2015 Dodge Challenger SXT vehicles with the 305-horsepower 3.6-liter V6 engine are available for $27,990, including shipping.
The Challenger SXT Plus starts at $30,990, according to Chrysler.
The 2015 Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack with the 485-hp 6.4-liter Hemi V8 engine starts at $39,490.
The 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT 392 with the 485-hp 6.4-liter Hemi V8 engine starts at $46,990, including shipping and a $1,000 gas-guzzler tax.
The Challenger SRT Hellcat arrives at dealerships during the third quarter of 2014.
Dodge's 2015 Challenger R/T with the 375-hp 5.7-liter Hemi V8 engine is available for $32,490, including shipping, according to the automaker.
