Google has just made it even easier for you to research restaurants before heading out to get something to eat.
The company is working with an external data provider to list menu items in a handy tab format on the search page, CNET reported.
"Just search Google to show you the menu for the eatery you're considering and you can see it right on the top of your search page--complete with tabs for different parts of the menu (like appetizers, brunch or dinner) and, often, prices--before you make your reservation," the company announced in a Google+ post published on Friday.
Google hasn't specified which data provider will be the source for the menu information or how many restaurants will be included in the new feature, which is intended to streamline the search process.
"Next time you're planning a brunch or a date night, check to make sure the menu has something to satisfy everyone in your group without having to browse through several restaurants' websites," Google said in the post.
Users can type or say "show me the menu for" and put the restaurant's name.
A spokesperson said most popular restaurants in the United States should be included in the results, CNET reported. The redesigned search is being implemented throughout the U.S. on both web and mobile.
The tech site noted that the new feature could encroach on the territory of such applications as Yelp and Foursquare, which also provide menu information.
