2014 Geneva Auto Show: McLaren 650S Teased Before March Debut

McLaren has released a teaser image for its new 650S vehicle before its official debut at the 2014 Geneva Auto Show.

A single image released this week reveals the vehicle's badge.

McLaren has not announced the vehicle's launch date, base price, or technical specifications yet. More information is expected to be revealed closer to the highly-anticipated auto show.

"Designed and developed to offer the enthusiast driver the ultimate in luxury, engagement and excitement, as well as dramatic yet beautiful styling, the McLaren 650S is the result of 50 years of competing, and winning, at the highest levels of motorsport," said McLaren Automotive in a statement this week.

The McLaren 650S will compete against similar vehicles like the Ferrari 458 Italia and Lamborghini Aventador.

Though a price has not been confirmed yet, many media outlets like Edmunds expect the 650S to be sold for a base price of around $300,000.

The McLaren 650S will debut at the 2014 Geneva Auto Show on March 4
