2015 Cadillac ATS Coupe Equipped with OnStar 4G LTE

The Cadillac ATS Coupe will become the first Cadillac vehicle equipped with new OnStar 4G LTE, including a built-in Wi-Fi hot spot.

The Wi-Fi hot spot can connect seven phones at once, according to the automaker.

"The vehicle employs an 'always on' wireless connection, which does not rely on a brought-in mobile device," said General Motors in a press statement.

OnStar's 4G LTE connections allows customers to access apps and services that usually require a high-speed connection.

The ATS Coupe competes with similar models like the 2014 BMW 4 Series, Infiniti Q60 Coupe, and Audi A5.

The service includes five years of OnStar's basic plan, according to GM.

The basic plan comes with dealer maintenance notification, vehicle diagnostics, and RemoteLink key fob services.

The fob allows owners to lock or unlock doors, honk the vehicle's horn, flash lights or start the vehicle remotely from a smartphone device.

The ATS Coupe debuted at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show.
