The trucker strike on the Beltway in Washington, D.C. and Virginia is happening, it's just not causing the impact many people thought it would just a few days ago.
Most media reports are saying that the strike, or protest as it's also been called, is barely slowing down traffic.
Michelle Rowland, one of the protesters, said that there are more trucks coming however.
"It's early, there's a jam and more are coming as far as Canada, Florida and Ohio that I can confirm... Going to awhile," said Michelle Rowland, one of the group, on Facebook.
A live feed camera will not be provided by the group however.
Traffic cams in the area has shown some trucks on the Beltway, and traffic has been slowed down a little, but not much, according to The Epoch Times.
Traffic was worse earlier on in the day according to local reporters, but it's currently sped up since this morning.
"Trucker protest on Beltway has really broken up. Scattered all around and not really impeding traffic anymore," said Nick Iannelli, a WTOP reporter, about the protest.
One of the event's organizers, going by the title #T2SDA, said to Iannelli that he's hoping the protest turns into an "Egyptian style" uprising.
The protest is scheduled to run through Oct. 13. Over 3,000 truckers have confirmed there participation in the protests, but it remains to be seen how many actually show up.
Many people aren't happy with the protest, and feel that most "real" truckers won't be taking part in this weekend's strike.
"All the respectable truckers are working and avoiding you like the plague. Stay off of our taxpayer funded socialist highway. People need them to go to important jobs and stuff," said Vicky Samford Rankin, on Facebook.
At least one driver has received a ticket so far according to CBS News.
