Hayden Panettiere finally opened up about her engagement to Wladimir Klitschko on "Live with Kelly and Michael" on Wednesday.
The 24-year-old actress, known for her role as the cheerleader on NBC's "Heroes," wore a live boa constrictor to her appearance on "Live with Kelly and Michael."
Panettiere brought the snake as the continuation of a joke with Michael Strahan, who confessed his fear of snakes during Panettiere's last appearance.
"I like my accessories alive," she quipped.
Despite the unusual neck accessory, Kelly Ripa did not hesitate to ask about the shiny diamond on Panettiere's left hand.
"I'm sort of distracted, not just by the snake, but there's a very large diamond on your ring finger," Ripa pointed out. "I'm not sure if you want to announce anything, but does that signify anything?"
"I mean, I think it speaks for itself," the "Nashville" star told Ripa before confessing that she was engaged to Klitschko, her on-and-off-again boyfriend of four years.
She and the Ukranian world heavyweight boxing champion met in 2009 and broke up in May 2011, according to the New York Daily News. Their relationship reportedly got back on track in January when Klitschko asked her to marry him.
Panettiere recently talked to Glamour magazine about her relationship, thoughts on marriage and desire to have kids in the future.
"I don't really have a plan. I've lived a very big life, and I don't feel my age, and I feel like I was born to be a mother," Panettiere said. "Sometimes people speak about [having kids] like, 'Your life ends-you're never going to be able to do anything again!' And I'm like, 'What are you talking about?' Motherhood is the most beautiful, exciting thing, and there's nothing that I feel like I can't accomplish while having children in my life. I would sacrifice having more years of being wherever I want whenever I want for years with my kids."
