Bollywood star Deepika Padukone has reportedly signed on to join the cast of "Fast & Furious 7" according to Times of India.
Padukone auditioned first for the role although with other Bollywood stars like Kangana Ranaut and Chitrangda Singh were also brought in.
Casting agents reportedly looked for someone "slender and statuesque" according to Times of India.
Padukone is currently in Dubai filming with Shah Rukh Khan.
Hollywood veteran Kurt Russell is also in talks to join the star-studded cast, according to Moviefone.com.
Russell's last major feature-film was Quentin Tarantino's "Death Proof" back in 2007.
Director James Wan has already confirmed so far that Vin Diesel, Tyrese Gibson, Dwayne Johnson, Paul Walker, Michelle Rodriguez will all be back for the seventh installment.
Jason Statham, who appeared at the end of "Fast & Furious 6," will be the villain in the next film, according to Wan.
Other rumored stars that have been linked to "Fast & Furious 7" but have yet to sign officially include UFC fighter Ronda Rousey, Oscar-winner Halle Berry, and Taylor Lautner.
The new movie will be released July 25, 2014.
