Mercedes-Benz has released teaser sketches of its new 2014 GLA ahead of its official debut at 2013 Frankfurt Auto Show.
The photos were uploaded on Mercedes-Benz's Facebook page.
"The new GLA is coming," said the automaker under the sketches. "To tease you just a bit until then, enjoy these exclusive design sketches."
The sketches indicate the next model will have a twin-pipe exhaust system, bigger tires and fenders.
Edmunds points out that the GLA is similar to the concept model that was revealed earlier this year's Shanghai Auto Show.
The automaker is hoping the new GLA will compete with the BMW X1 and will attract younger car buyers.
No technical specs have been revealed by Mercedes-Benz as of press time.
The concept model is equipped with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine capable of delivering 208 hp according to Mercedes-Benz. The turbocharged engine is linked to a seven-speed dual clutch automatic transmission.
Expect the GLA to go on sale in the U.S. by the fall of 2014.
