SeaWorld Stranded Whale Video Goes Viral, Causes Controversy (WATCH)

A video filmed at SeaWorld, which shows a stranded whale struggling to get back into the water, has gone viral on the internet.

When asked about the video, SeaWorld said the whale was never in any danger according to the New York Daily News.

In the video, taken in Orlando, Florida, a whale can be seen stranded on the ledge of its pool.

Dozens of people were getting into the stands to watch the next whale show as the whale became stranded. Witnesses said staff members at the scene ignored the whale saying it was "playing" and "having fun."

"After about 10 minutes, I realized it was in distress," said Carlo De Leonibus, the man who shot the video, according to the New York Daily News. "I felt very concerned, so I went down and told one of the employees who just dismally responded and said 'it's having fun, it's playing.' He didn't even bother to look at the whale, so I went back to the crowd. I began recording. In that time you can hear people upset, people were screaming."

The crowd started to complain more before an announcement was made over the loud speaker telling the crowd that the whale was okay.

The whale remained at the ledge for 25 minutes before the workers finally listened to the crowd and helped the whale back in the water.

Despite the angry reaction from the crowd and viewers of the video, SeaWorld maintains that they did nothing wrong and the whale was not in danger.

"Pilot whales come out on the ledge all the time and always get back into the deeper water without any problem. The younger animals are still inexperienced and sometimes it takes them a bit longer" said SeaWorld in a press statement.

So what do you think based on the video? Was the whale n danger or have people overacted?
