Motorola has sent out invitations to an event in New York City on August 1 where they will unveil the new Moto X device.
The Moto X is expected to be a customizable device that customers will be able to design themselves and order online or at most stores that sell smartphones according to CNet.com.
The device is also expected to be more affordable than its competitors like the iPhone 5 and Samsung Galaxy S4.
Motorola has yet to confirm the asking price for its new device as of press time.
The website to respond to the invitation asks guests to pick one of the many sessions to attend at different times at an address in mid-town Manhattan.
The Moto X will be assembled in the U.S. and will come available in a number of different colors according to Motorola's chief executive Dennis Woodside during an onstage interview.
The company is hoping the Moto X is a big hit as Motorola posted a $342 million loss in the second quarter of 2013 according to Reuters.
The device should be released shortly after the event in NYC, though no official release date has been scheduled officially.
What do you think the new device will look like? Are there any specs you hope the Moto X will come with?
