The 2014 Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG 4Matic was officially revealed this week ahead of its world debut at the 2013 Frankfurt Auto Show.
The new model is equipped with a biturbo AMG 5.5-liter V8 engine capable of achieving 577 hp and 664 lb.-ft. of torque.
Mercedes-Benz says that the S63 AMG is capable of going 0 to 60 in approximately 3.9 seconds and has a top speed of 186 mph.
The engine is attached to a seven-speed sports transmission with three different transmission modes. The "C" option is for controlled efficiency, the "S" option for sport, and "M" for manual according to Mercedes-Benz.
The Eco Start/Stop function is only available in the "C" mode after shutting off the eight-cylinder engine.
A brand-new feature in the 2014 model is the AMG all-wheel-drive 4Matic system.
The vehicle is 220 pounds lighter than its predecessor thanks to its light-alloy wheels, and lithium-ion battery.
The EPA said that the 2013 Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG returns 15 mpg in city driving and 23 mpg on the highway.
The new S63 goes on sale in the U.S. this November according to a Mercedes-Benz press release. Pricing will be released closer to the launch date.
