GlassTesla App Allows Google Glass Owners to Control Their Tesla Model S Vehicles

The first app for Google Glass has been released called GlassTesla, which combines Google's innovative eyewear with the Tesla Model S EV.

The Google Glass Explorer program currently includes only 2,000 people, while there are approximately 4,750 Model S units currently available in the U.S so not everyone will get to try the app.

The app will allow Model S owners to monitor specific aspects of vehicle, including charging status and where their vehicle is located according to Forbes.

Click here for more information on the app.

The app also makes things easier on Model S owners who will no longer need to use their smartphones to find out information about their car.

Owners can also find out where the closest charging station is, start and stop the charging process and open the charging port by just using the Google Glass.

Other tasks the app can do includes checking the status of the vehicle's:

-doors

-trunk

-sunroof

-interior and exterior temperatures

The app allows owners to make sure everything is locked or closed without having to actually go out and check.

If you used GlassTesla to find out where your vehicle is located, it will also provide directions to its exact location. If that isn't helpful enough, you can make the vehicle flash its lights or honk according to Forbes.
