Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Release Date: New Device Revealed, Coming to U.S. on July 7 for $199 (PHOTOS/ VIDEO)

Samsung has revealed three new tablets set to be released this summer: the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0, Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0, and Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1.

Each tablet will be released starting July 7 but pre-sale starts on June 25. The tablets will be made available through a number or retail stores like Best Buy, Wal-Mart and Amazon.

The new tablets will be sold for $199, $299, and $399, respectably, according to USA Today.

The Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 is expected to compete directly against the Amazon Kindle Fire, sold for $159, the Barnes and Noble Nook HD, sold for $129, and the Google Nexus 7, sold for $199.

The new tablet will run Android 4.1, come with a 7-inch 1024 x 600 display, and contains 8GB of storage.

Other features include: a 64GB-compatible microSD card slot and a built-in infrared system that can be used to control your TV and other devices with the click of a button. A 3-megapixel rear camera, and a 1.3-megapixel front camera are both standard according to Samsung.

Nielsen research indicates 85 percent of tablet users watch TV on their tablet devices, so Samsung decided to create its WatchOn service to help those people out. Approximately 41 percent of those users watch TV on a daily basis using their tablet devices, so the WatchOn service could be a huge hit.

The Tab 3 8.0 will be the only one of the three to support Samsung's Multi-Window functionality, as seen in previous Tab and Galaxy smartphone devices.

Through Multi-Window, users can use two apps at the same time and have up to 20 apps open at once according to Samsung.

Over 750,000 apps are currently available on the Google Play store.

Other stores that will have the new tablets available for purchase include Office Depot, Sears and Toys 'R' Us.

So what do you think of the new tablets? Are you planning on preordering one?
