Honda revealed this week a new price package for its brand new all-electric Fit EV including a new lease price of $259 a month starting June 1.
Reduced from $389 a month, the three-year lease term also helps customers save money by not asking for a down payment, providing unlimited mileage, collision coverage and routine maintenance.
A 240 volt EV home charging station equipment is also standard according to a company press release. The equipment does not include installation.
"The Fit EV already is a benchmark electric vehicle with a leading-range rating, fun-to-drive dynamics and excellent packaging," said Steve Center, vice president of Environmental Business Development at American Honda Motor Co., Inc in the press release.
The Fit EV online application process also allows for quicker approval and delivery of the vehicle to its owner according to Honda. The network of dealers in locations like California, New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut will expand from 36 to 200 by June 2013.
The new EV was recently named one of the "Ten Best Green Cars" by KBB.com, and is advertised as the "most efficient" five-seater electric vehicle on the market currently according to Honda.
"Now it's the only EV on the market with no down payment, unlimited mileage, collision coverage and a free home charging station, giving customers an unprecedented value that only Honda can provide and a compelling reason to get off the barrel and onto the grid," said Center.
