The 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 has been spied several times. As a result, industry experts and car enthusiasts are given more and more idea as time goes by. It reveals an exceptional vehicle of its kind, being an extensive update of the current one.

The 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 stays true to the current one as an updated version and not a true redesign. The current Silverado has been introduced back in 2014 with K2XX body-on-frame platform for full-size pickups and large SUVs. Unfortunately, this somehow did not tickle the fancy of buyers.

To prove this point, Silverado sales plummeted to around 4.3 percent in 2016. Ford F-series ate up Chevrolet's market share as it gained 5.2 percent during the same time period. The Silverado, which is expected to be officially introduced next year as 2019 model, is poised to change this trend.

Interestingly enough, the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 is reported to come with more aluminum into its construction mix. This is, ultimately, to take back the share which Ford got last year, so to speak. Also, this is to make the pickup truck agiler and fuel efficient. The 2019 Silverado 1500 follows the trend of reducing body weight for even enhanced performance. If the current one is capable, the upcoming 2019 model is expected to deliver more.

To make it look even more updated, the 2019 Silverado's headlights appear to be more angled compared to the current. This is reminiscent of its design which reigned supreme between 1999 and 2007.

There are prototypes that show a side of the exhaust. This is something different as previously, the Silverado has been seen with only rear exhaust setups. The grille and bumper also look slightly different.

The 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 is expected to debut at the 2018 Detroit Auto Show on January. Its sales then kicks off come summer of 2018. Its price is expected not to change drastically. Its price tag, which starts at $28,880 is not too bad.
