Glow-In-The-Dark Camaro Revealed as Part of ‘World’s Best Driver’ Shoot, Will Cost $8,995 (VIDEO)

General Motors announced back at the 2013 SEMA Auto Show that they would be releasing a Camaro Hot Wheels Special Edition in early 2013. What was not revealed this fall is that the vehicle would be made available with glow-in-the-dark paint.

The new Camaro is equipped to a 426-horsepower V-8 engine, with a custom paint job you won't find on any other Camaro.

Exterior decals, a custom designed spoiler, seats stitched with the Hot Wheels logo and 21-inch black wheels are also standard according to Chevy.

"Millions of us grew up playing with Hot Wheels," said Chris Perry, vice president of Chevrolet Marketing in the General Motors press release. "Offering a special production model of the Camaro Hot Wheels is an opportunity to bring those memories to life, for kids of all ages."

Some standard features included with the vehicle will be a custom Chevrolet MyLInk infotainment system, which is a touch radio with a seven-inch screen that can come with a navigation system.

The car promotes wireless activity by including Blutooth capability, wireless connectivity and wireless OnStar assistance to make driving safer.

The new Hot Wheels package is available now on the 2LT V-6 and 2SS V-8 convertibles and coupes according to Chevy.

"It's been nearly 20 years since I started designing cars for Hot Wheels and I have yet to drive one home," said Felix Holst, vice president of creative for the Mattel Wheels Division at the SEMA Auto Show. "Personally, I can't wait to open the doors and see the Hot Wheels Camaro sitting in the garage."

The glow-in-the-dark Camaro was designed as part of the "World's Best Driver" shoot, which included three other custom vehicles designed specifically for driving high speeds over several different terrains.
