"Call of Duty: WWII" leaks indicate that the World War 2 era shooter gamer will launch on November 3, Friday. Not only that. The leak also indicated other details of the game, including a private beta and story description of some sort.
The latest leak actually surfaced very early last Saturday on "Call Duty" subreddit and the marketing materials were also acquired by CharlieIntel. What's interesting is that the launch date indicated for the shooter game is November 3, a Friday. If you remember the worldwide release of "Call of Duty" in each of the past 2 years, it has always been a Friday. Coincidence?
Another tidbit leaked for the upcoming "Call of Duty: WWII" is that for those who pre-ordered the game, they will have access to a private beta. But the timeframe wasn't indicated.
In terms of the setting for "Call of Duty: WWII," it is reportedly going to be set in Normandy on D-Day. And players will battle across multiple iconic European locations. The line reads: "Land in Normandy on D-Day and battle across Europe through iconic locations in history's most monumental war. Experience classic 'Call of Duty' combat, the bonds of camaraderie, and the unforgiving nature of war against a global power throwing the world into tyranny."
Plus, "Call of Duty: WWII" will have, reportedly, a co-op mode that will tell an "original story" separate from the main campaign mode. "Play with your friends in this next-level standalone game experience full of unexpected, adrenaline-pumping moments," according to the leak.
Meanwhile, the multiplayer will allow, reportedly, players to interact and socialize with the "Call of Duty" community and also with their friends in "exciting ways." Also, there were no specified platforms to which the game will be launched, except that the marketing leaks carried an Xbox One branding.
Activision has neither denied nor confirmed any of the above-mentioned leaks. But the video game publisher said that they will share more details during the livestream broadcast for "Call of Duty: WWII" on April 26, Wednesday.
