2018 Citroen C5 Aircross Debuts At Shanghai Auto Show; Stays True To Cirtroen Characteristics!

SUVs are definitely a hot ticket as it is considered as one of the highly-coveted vehicle type the world over. China is not an exception as the 2018 Citroen C5 Aircross made its debut at the Shanghai Auto Show. It is expected to be launched in China this October, shortly followed by Europe by second half of 2018.

The 2018 Citroen C5 Aircross is expected to battle it out neck-and-neck with Nissan Qashqai and Seat Ateca as it gets launched by fall of this year. The 2018 C5 Aircross needs exceptionally strong global sales and appeal to be able to compete and this may be an easy feat for this soon-to-be-released SUV.

Its toned down styling is expected to be one of its positive traits. The company ditched as the divisive Airbumps. The entire SUV appears to also be sleeker than the C3 and C4 which some industry experts and car enthusiasts find "gimmicky."

The PHEV drivetrain is also considered outstanding as it combines 200-bhp combustion engine with two electric motors. These two motors are responsible for producing a combined 100-bhp giving it a total of 300-bhp. It can can be driven for up to 60km just by using the electric motors.

The new suspension of 2018 Citroen C5 Aircross is sure to provide a smooth and comfortable ride which is Citroen's trademark. It replaces conventional dampers and springs with two hydraulic stops to each suspension unit.

The 2018 Citroen C5 Aircross also boasts of 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and eight-inch high-definition infotainment system. It also has wireless charging technology for smartphones as well.

The 2018 Citroen C5 Aircross at the same time features the company's Grip Control for improved traction through the ESP module. It has five modes namely: Standard, Sand, Off-Road, Snow, and ESP OFF. This SUV is expected to perform exceptionally well when faced with challenging terrain among others.
