Charlize Theron Explains Why Her Role In The ‘Fate Of The Furious’ Is Challenging

"Fast and Furious" star Charlize Theron said it was "fun and challenging" to do the role of the main villain, Cipher. The "Monster" star explained why it was challenging.

Last Tuesday in Berlin, Academy best actress awardee Charlize Theron described at the premiere of the eighth installment of the "Fast and Furious" how it was doing the upcoming film. The actress detailed that the "F&F" has been established focusing on the family as the foundation for the past 16 years, Reuters has noted.

Charlize Theron then talked about her role as the main villain. According to the actress, it was "fun and challenging" as her role is tasked to break all of that "family" foundation that was built for almost two decades.

Charlize Theron is the newest star to join the roster of popular stars of "Fast and Furious." She was first teased in May 2016 through the official Twitter account of the franchise.

The tweet showed a picture of the actress in a ponytail and sporting a Metallica T-shirt under a preppy jacket. In the picture, Charlize Theron can be spotted standing beside a pile of heavy guns.

The tweet's caption then introduced the role of the Academy awardee in the latest installment of the franchise. The caption says "Our crew has faced former military, mercenaries & more. Now they meet Cipher."

Meanwhile, aside from Charlize Theron, Vin Diesel was also present at the premiere in Berlin. The other main stars of the film, Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham, Michelle Rodriguez, and Tyrese Gibson, did not grace the premiere.

"Fast and Furious" is set to hit theaters on April 14. Car enthusiasts will feast on the supercars featured in the film such as the Mitsubishi Eclipse, Honda S2000, Lykan HyperSport, 2011 Bugatti Veyron, Ford GT40, 1994 Toyota Supra MK IV and 1970 Dodge Charger.
