HTC U Ocean: An Upcoming HTC Phone That Will Be Available In May

HTC is making waves again with its upcoming HTC U Ocean. It has a conventional design with a sleek color variation without a curved display.

It could be remembered that there have been previous reports of this phone having a curved display. According to a leaked twitter photo, the phone will not have a curved display.

HTC U Ocean comes with a 3.5mm headphone hack that has as a USB Type-C port. Sadly, the phone does not have a home button and has no fingerprint scanner.

Nevertheless, the phone will be the latest edition to the HTC brands after the company announced HTC U Play and HTC U Ultra. These phones are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 system-on-chip and 4GB RAM.

HTC U Ocean will be part of HTC U Ultra. It will reportedly be the intermediate step between HTC 10 and the company's other high-end phones in 2017.

Nevertheless, The device will be powered by Snapdragon 835 SoC and has a 4GB RAM. It will have a 64GB storage space, and like most smartphones, it has a microSD card slot.

The phone will have a 5.5-inch display panel that has a 2560x1440 pixel resolution. It is also going to be powered by Android Nougat and will come with the HTC Sense 9 launcher.

It will also have an Edge Sensor that allows users to squeeze the sides of the phone to activate different functions of the phone. Aside from the standard sleep mode, the sensor will allow users to open cameras, launch Google Assistance and HTC Sense Companion, and activate Wi-Fi hotspot.

The HTC Sense 9 launcher is an artificial intelligence that helps users to save battery by reminding them to charge the phone during busy schedules. It will also give weather forecast and reminders.

Aside from that, HTC U Ocean will have a 12MP rear company and a 16MP front camera. The phone will be launched in mid-April and will be available in May.
