The Porsche 911 is probably one of the most popular sports cars in the world, and that's because it has a long running line of cars. The lineup includes the GTS model, the GT3, and the Turbo. But between the S model and the GT3 line, there has been a larger gap. That's why Porsche released the 2018 Porsche 911 GTS which is the top-performance version of the S model.

On the exterior, the 2018 Porsche Carrera GTS will surely impress a lot of people despite the fact that doesn't have the aerodynamic package of the GT3. Its front end has a different bumper, brand new HID headlights that comes with black interior, new 20-inch wheels with a center cap, which is very similar to those of the GT3.

The rear has also been changed with a standard sports exhaust system, brand new taillights,  wider rear wheel arches that are now similar to the all-wheel-drive Carrera S. The car also sits 0.4-inches lower to the ground thanks to the new standard adaptive suspension system.

On the inside, the new GTS is not that new. The vehicle is almost identical to the Carrera S, only with little upgrades over it. Customers can choose from a lot of standard color options, and that upholstery is now made out Alcantara and leather.

Under the hood, the new GTS is powered by the same 3.8-liter naturally aspirated flat-six that is found on the Carrera S. The engine can make 430 hp and 325 lb-ft of torque and it comes equipped either with a seven-speed PDK automatic gearbox or a 7-speed manual. The top speed of the new GTS is 193 mph which is a bit lower compared to the GT3 but two mph faster than the regular S model.

The 2018 Porsche 911 Carrera GTS has a starting price of $115,000 for the rear wheel drive coupe model and nearly $135,000 for the four-wheel drive model. It maybe a hefty 15 to 20 percent increase which makes sense since it is much better than the S version.
