A 10-year-old was found alive on Mar. 27 after being abducted just 12 hours earlier from her home in Northridge, C.A. according to the Associated Press.
Police are not searching for two men believed to have forcibly taken the child from her bedroom sometime between midnight and 3:30 a.m. The child was found approximately six miles from home in a Starbucks parking lot.
The police report claims that the child was "wandering around" the area after being dropped off in from of a local hospital by the two men believed to be the kidnappers.
The girl's mother alerted police that her daughter was missing after seeing her bedroom door open Wednesday morning. The woman determined her child was missing after searching the house and backyard and quickly alerted the police.
The girl had cuts and bruises on her face and was wearing different clothes when she was found according to The Los Angeles Times.
Police searched for approximately 12 hours looking for the girl, who was found wearing different clothes than she had on the night before, including an "oversized" white shirt and no shoes.
"She basically is in shock right now," Los Angeles Police Department Capt. Kris Pitcher said according to a report by The Los Angeles Times. "She's walking, she's talking, she's conversing with the officers and with the FBI agents, and with the doctors and the nurses at the hospital."
Police have recovered a black pick-up truck at a storage facility according to the Inquisitr. Officers are currently investigating the vehicle as they believe it was used by the kidnappers. No other details have been released, as the police have yet to even determine how the suspects know the victim.
"She's a good kid. She's not a troublemaker, and this isn't anything she would normally do," said police Lt. Terri Brinkmeyer according to the Examiner.
