Hamlin-Logano Wreck: NASCAR Driver Airlifted To Hospital After Last Lap Collision, Kyle Busch Wins Fontana (VIDEO)

Denny Hamlin had to be airlifted to a hospital on Mar. 24 after hitting Joey Logano on the last lap of a thrilling race in Fontana, C.A. according to the Associated Press.

Kyle Busch may have ended the day the winner of the race, but all the attention was given to Logano who got in a "shoving match" with fellow driver Tony Stewart.

The three-time champion got into a heated discussion with Logano after the race, where Stewart reportedly threatened to "whoop his (butt)" after the 22-year-old blocked Stewart out of a late restart.

"It's time he learns a lesson," Stewart said according to the Associated Press. "He's run his mouth long enough. He's nothing but a little rich kid that's never had to work in his life, so he's going to learn what us working guys who had to work our way up (know about) how it works."

During the final lap Hamlin was going against Logano for what seemed like an exciting finish when both cars collided on the penultimate turn. Hamlin, who was able to get out of his car by himself, was sent straight into the wall and soon after had to be taken to a local hospital to be tested for a concussion.

Logano offered no sympathy for Hamlin, who spun Logano during last week's race at Bristol causing a "bitter" post race confrontation according to the Associated Press.

"He probably shouldn't have done what he did last week, so that's what he gets,'' Logano said according to the Associated Press.

Hamlin said last week he hoped the "beef" with Logano was over with, but Logano felt otherwise after he didn't receive an apology from Hamlin.

"I'm tired of these guys doing that stuff, especially out of a kid that's been griping about everybody else, and then he does that the next week,'' Stewart said when discussing Logano's complaints about other drivers' similar moves according to the Associated Press. "He sent Denny to the hospital and screwed our day up. He's talked the talk, but he hasn't walked the walk yet.''

Busch led for 125 of the 200 laps in his Toyota and earned the first victory of the 2013 season when he sped past Hamlin and Logano after the crash. NASCAR's most popular driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. finished in second place.

This was Busch's 25thNASCAR victory, but he didn't seem to come away from the race feeling like he accomplished anything.

"Oh, by the way, I won the race today,'' Busch said according to the Associated Press."That might be a story. I'm sure it's not, though.''
