Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini Pictures Leaked, 4.3-Inch Screen, Dual-Core CPU, Release Date Revealed, Runs On Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean (PHOTOS/ VIDEO)

It's only been a little over a week since Samsung revealed the Galaxy S4 to the public, but that hasn't stopped the company from planning their next device: the Galaxy S4 mini.

SamMobile got their hands on live photos of the smaller Galaxy S4 device, and while the phone looks pretty similar to the normal S4, the similarities reportedly "stop there" according to International Business Times. The tech site reportedly got the pictures from a Twitter follower  by the name of Ermek Kubanychbekov.

Kubanychbekov did not mention his source in the Twitter post, and the phone has not been officially confirmed by Samsung yet.

In regards to display features, the S4 mini has a 4.3-inch screen is "slightly" larger than the Galaxy S3 mini screen which comes with a 4-inch screen. Interested users can also expect Super AMOLED qHD quality with pixel density of 256ppi, which is approximately half of the pixel density of the normal S4.

The S4 mini will run on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean with TouchWiz skin, again just like the base S4 device according to IBTimes.

"Unfortunately, if this leak is correct, Samsung is once again downsizing the phone's specs along with its screen size... If this is real, this means more mid-range buyers can get the design of the S4 - but also that people looking for both a smaller screen and the S4's cutting-edge internals are still out of luck," said Adi Robertson, in a blog post for The Verge.

A dual-Sim version has also been mentioned by many media outlets as well, and will be called the Galaxy S4 Mini duos, with a model number GT-I9192 according to IBNLive.com.

If the leaked photos are any indication, the S4 mini will feature a back cover design similar to that of the current Samsung device.

The phone will reportedly be officially unveiled this summer, with rumored dates falling around mid-June or early July according to ZeeBiz.com.

Back in Oct. 2012, Samsung released the Galaxy S3 Mini to provide a smaller version of their best-selling phone for people who complain that the normal S3 is too big. The S3 Mini has experienced respectable sales numbers in the countries it was released in, but nothing like the numbers the base S3 has obtained since being released last spring.
