The Aston Martin Valkyrie is finally presented to the world at the Geneva Motor Show. The car that Aston Martin initially codenamed AM-RB 001 has finally come out of the closet with some groundbreaking features.

Starting off with AM-RB 001's main designers, Adrian Newey and Marek Reichman of Red Bull Racing, the Valkyrie was created to give the user an excellent on-road experience while operating like a competitive race car as well, reported Redbull. A version for driving sole on a race track is in the works.

Aston Martin CEO Andy Palmer said the Valkyrie is supposed to be the start of a dynasty of mid-engine cars, reported Motor1. The current Valkyrie model is a behemoth of a racing beast, with an 850 horsepower (633 kilowatts) to boot.

It has genre-breaking aerodynamics with a lightweight carbon fiber body that will exert tremendous downforce in a car built for the road. The body is definitely a design of David King and his team who created Aston Martin's One-77 hypercar.

Powertrain manufacturer Cosworth is in charge of the Aston Martin Valkyrie's hybrid V12 6.5-liter powertrain engine. It also comes with a seven-speed paddle shift transmission and enhanced by a gearbox designed by Ricardo, following Red Bull Advanced Technologies' specs.

More big brand name car peripherals manufacturers lent their expertise to the Aston Martin Valkyrie. Bosche is also providing the software for its engine control unit (ECU), including the ESP and traction control. Michelin is also supplying the Sport Cup 2 265/35 ZR20 front and r325/30 ZR21 rear tires.

Palmer said Aston Martin has enough room to develop a whole slew of other car models in the mid-engine range, but definitely, the car will be beautiful, as any Aston Martin car is, he told Car and Driver. Only 150 Aston Martin Valkyries will be manufactured with an additional 25 race car versions planned. But, all 150 AM-RB 001 have reportedly been presold with an unverified price of £3 million per car.
