Chevrolet revealed today that only 69 of the 2013 COPO drag-racing vehicles will be produced according to a company press statement. Those who will be able to purchase the new car will be notified today, Mar. 11.

GM also released the pricing details for the vehicle week. The 2013 Chevrolet COPO Camaro will cost 69 people approximately $86,000.

Those who are interested in purchasing the new Camaro must register on the COPO Camaro Mailing List which was opened on Mar. 7. Buyers will be chosen at random by a third-party organization.

The COPO drag-racing cars will be made available with three engine options, two of which are brand new, and will be powered by a manual gearbox.

The three engine options include a 350-cubic-inch V8 engine with 325 horsepower, a 396-cubic-inch V engine with 375 horsepower, and a 427-cubic-inch V8 with 425 horsepower according to Chevrolet.

Each engine option is equipped with a number of new features like engine management with all-new Holley HP EFI electronic control unit and a fuel-injection system according to Chevrolet.

The 2013 model includes a "heritage" grille, a revised interior package and front springs. A transmission cooler integrated with the radiator and new exterior graphic choices will also be standard with the new car according to Edmunds.

Those who purchase one of the exclusive vehicles can also participate in the engine assembly at Chevrolet's Performance Build Center in Wixom, Michigan.

Production for the COPO is set to begin in April, with deliveries expected for early summer according to Chevrolet. Customers must pick the vehicle up in the Detroit Area, which is where the COPO Camaros will be built.

Last year approximately 3,000 people said they would be interested in purchasing a COPO Camaro.
