‘Yenko’ 2017 Chevrolet Camaro To Exorcise Dodge Challenger SRT Demon When Released: Check Out What Experts Say

The 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon is one of the most highly anticipated muscle cars this year. Meanwhile, Specialty Vehicle Engineering used their greasy expertise to suit up a Camaro producing a "Yenko" 2017 Chevrolet Camaro ready to slay a demon when it comes out. Let's check out if their numbers add up based on information from reliable sources.

"Performance Pages" is the latest low down on the Demon, indicating that the Hellcat's infotainment system made its way to its more powerful younger sibling. Other developments from teaser trailers for the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon include a stronger driveshaft capable of handling 15% more torque and stronger half-shafts with lower friction bearings.

The Demon went under a massive weight loss of more than 200 lbs than the current-generation Hellcat. Added to this are some chassis updates, with improvements on steering, brakes, and of course suspension, reports RoadAndTrack.

On the other side of the spectrum, Specialty Vehicle Engineering dropped the supercharged V8 into the Chevrolet Camaro's engine. And out came the "Yenko" 2017 Chevrolet Camaro. But note that SVE is under license to use the name "Yenko" and is nowhere near related to the famous muscle cars from Yenko Chevrolet.

A whopping 800 horsepower and 750 pound-feet of torque are produced by the uprated engine thanks to the supercharger and adopting the LT-4 fuel system and injectors. The Yenko uses a stroker kit so that it has an engine displacement from 6.2 liters to 6.8 liters, according to MotorAuthority.

Now, considering that the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon would deliver more than the regular Hellcat's 707 hp and combined with its electronically controlled adaptive suspension for maximizing weight transfer, the drag radial tires, and everything single thing dished out, this possessed muscle car could seriously outrun the Camaro in the drag strip.

However, these numbers are only good on paper unless both the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon and "Yenko" 2017 Chevrolet Camaro go head to head. In the meantime, we will keep you updated for more teaser videos of the upcoming demon-possessed muscle car.
