The Audi e-tron is a series of hybrid concept cars with unique and powerful specifications behind its concept phase. The German automaker is aiming to strengthen the prospects of Audi Q1, Q4 and Q6 models at the Geneva Motor Show. Audi's first all-electric vehicle, which is fuelled by e-tron Quattro concept, will not be called the Audi Q6.

According to Auto Car, CEO Rupert Stadler revealed the early development stage of the all-new battery electric-powered SUV. Stadler added that the new technology would be launched next autumn and it might develop a rival to the Mercedes Project One. The CEO mentioned that the car would be powered by two electric motors generating a combined 456 bhp and 679 lb-ft that will highlight a zero to 62 mph time of just 3.9 seconds.

Audi promised two electric vehicles by 2020, which will be the first derivative of the e-tron Quattro crossover. Stadler confirmed that the concept would be revealed later this year. The Audi e-tron SUV will not be wearing the Q6 badge, but the CEO confirmed that future of the production e-tron Quattro will feature a name rather than an alpha-numeric identification, which aims for better positioning in terms of price, size, and technology, as noted by Motoring Australia.

The new Audi e-tron will be the first pure battery-electric vehicle with a range of 500 km, which the hybrid sedan will be produced at the car plant in Brussels. Stadler also revealed that it might be cheaper than the Audi's latest flagship vehicles.

The all pure battery-electric sedan will feature a luxurious SUV with an engine that complies with CO2 regulations within Europe, the United States, and China. Stadler added that the Audi e-tron Quattro would be followed by a second large electric vehicle, which might be based on the same "MLB Evo-derived EV" platform.
