Ketchup Crash Paints Reno Highway A Gruesome Color (VIDEO)

No bodies. No people. Just ketchup. All over Interstate 80.

That's the saucy story coming out of Reno, Nev. after a truck carrying thousands of glass bottles of Heinz ketchup crashed Thursday after swerving to avoid hitting a car, painting the scene a gruesome shade of red.

Fortunately the grim-looking accident resulted in no injuries.

'"The scene looks pretty bad as far as color goes," Sgt. Janay Sherven with the Nevada Highway Patrol said, according to the Reno Gazette-Journal. "I have red everywhere on the highway. No bodies, no people, just ketchup."

The truck hit a center median and took out a light pole, which ripped open the left side of the trailer, resulting in thousands of bottles of blood red ketchup splattering all over the road, the report stated.

The truck driver likely over-corrected to avoid hitting another car, the newspaper reported.

The messy accident held up traffic for hours before it was cleaned up.

Cleaning crews dumped sand on top of the ketchup and used snow plows to clear the mess, the newspaper reported.
