On Feb 12, the former NFL MVP running back had some other Lovelock Correctional Center prison friends over to his cell to watch the Baltimore Ravens take on the San Francisco 49ers on a television he purchased at the inmate store.

"If you have the money, you can buy a TV at the inmate store and put it in your cell," Norman Pardo, a producer and good friend of Simpson said according to The New York Post. "He's like the Godfather of the prison now."

Owning your own TV is not against the rules if you have the money and don't lose the privilege according to the report. The report did not include who Simpson rooted for, but the 65-year-old did finish his career with the 49ers according to Yahoo.

Simpson was sentenced to 33 years at the Nevada Correctional Center in 2008 for kidnapping and armed robbery.

Simpson is also famous for being acquitted of his double murder charge in 1995. Pardo is currently trying to sell a movie titled "Unpromotable," which would feature Simpsons' story after the trial and how Pardo tried to clean his image up to relaunch his career.

"It shows what it's like to promote the most unpromotable man on the planet," Pardo said to The New York Post.

Simpson will be eligible for parole for the first time in 2017 according to UPI.com.
