Carmine Giovinazzo, who is known for playing Detective Danny Messer on "CSI: NY" was arrested this week for DUI in Scottsdale, A.Z. according to TMZ. Cops located the 39-year-old who was swerving all over the road at around 2:40 a.m. on Jan. 21 according to a police report.
Police approached the vehicle where Giovinazzo was "immediately apologetic" and told officers that he had been driving so poorly because he was lost and was using a GPS device, according to the police report. Giovinazzo had two passengers in his white Jeep Wrangler, and explained none of them were from Arizona.

The report claims that officers could immediately smell alcohol on Giovinazzo's breath, and noticed that he was not only slurring his speech but his eyes were blood-shot red.
Giovinazzo was asked if he had been drinking earlier in the evening, and the actor admitted to drinking some scotch with friends at the W Hotel according to Yahoo.
He was then given a field sobriety test and a breathalyzer, which showed 0.119, well over the state's legal 0.08 percent limit. The actor was then taken into custody for driving under the influence and booked at a nearby jail. The vehicle, which wasn't in Giovinazzo's name, was impounded from the scene.
Police had nothing but praise for the actor, who was described as ashamed and thankful that the officers "didn't treat him like a criminal and (for) showing him respect"
"Carmine was very polite and cooperative with me throughout the investigation," said an Arizona officer in the police report according to TMZ.
Giovinazzo was later given a citation and released around 4:30 a.m. on a signed promise that he would appear at his court date.
A hearing for the date has not been confirmed as of yet according to Yahoo.
